Olimpo Mountain Peak - 2918mt
At only 4½ hours drive, you get at the base of the mythical Olimpo Mountain, the house of Zeus and of the ancient Greek gods. The sacred mountain is 2918mt height in its highest peak, Mitikas, and the other two peaks nearby, Skolio 2912mt, and Stefani 2908mt. Leaving from the parking in Prionia, and passing by the refuge Spilios Aghapitos, you reach the peak after about 3 hours’ walk. The final part of this mountain is very spectacular, in fact you leave the path in Skala, and start climbing the stone wall which takes you to the main peak….what an emotion…it has really been an Olympic…. adventure…..

25th June 2004 – I left with the curiosity of climbing the Caucasis mountain…in the great Russia. two white huge mountains one of which reaches the height of 5642.7 mt; it is the highest mountain in Europe! The Elbrus mountain.
With a very bad weather, in the fog, I reach with Fabio Meraldi, also thanks to the GPS system, the peak of the Elbrus. In this place I surprisingly find traces of my Russian athletes’ friends….they were training at the base of the mountain at 3800 metres, and right on these places they trained for the Olympic competitions.
On the summit of the mountain we leave our memories, the many emotions, but above all the Olympic flag....

18th May 2004 – Fabio Manu and Kari inside Fabio’s jacket…we also wanted to show our need for peace. A cry, “peace”, right on this day of official peace for all Italian climbers, where the flag has been taken on the peak of the Gran Zebru' 3851mt.
For celebrating the Pope’s birthday the flag of the Summit of peace will be placed on 150 peaks.

It is called climbing on a synthetic wall.… coloured handlings of different shapes representing scaling difficulties of any kind. Safety and fun at the same time…but which takes me to reach anyhow to reach a difficulty of climbing equal to 6 but there is still a long way to go. |
Knowing the elements which nature gives us as water transformed into ice … giving us the possibility to make new sensations and experiences... M y nails lengthened by sharpened piques…it is also nice to face this new element.
There is also Kuki in my knapsack she is always part of the group… She would like to scale also, but here it is absolutely not possible!
